About Lama Thupten Gyaltsen Dorje

Lama Thupten Gyaltsen Dorje (Jerry Gardner) is the resident teacher of Urgyen Samten Ling Gonpa and has studied and practiced the Buddhadharma for over 33 years. He was ordained as Lama in 1997 and is a master instructor of Wing Chun Kung-Fu, Tai Chi, and Qi Gong.

Introduction to Tibetan Buddhism

Eight-week introductory course providing a comtemplative and experiential base focusing on the core teachings of Tibetan Buddhism.

Beginning Practice Course

Pre-requisite: Introduction to Tibetan Buddhism or permission from Lama Thupten.


Eight-week course exploring the fundamental applications of Tibetan Buddhist Practice for those starting on the Buddhist Path or as enhancement for practitioners.

Sitting Meditation

Enhance natural peace, clarity and awareness. Open to anyone interested in meditation.

Advanced Practice and Teachings

A continuing evening class with Lama Thupten focusing on the teaching, theory and practice of Tibetan Buddhism for Buddhists in training.

 

On-going group practice
Students must have already taken formal refuge
Mondays, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Sunday Pujas

Join our Sangha (congregation) for our weekly Sunday services. "Puja" is the ceremonial practice of awakening our natural qualities of wisdom and compassion through prayer and recitation of mantras.

 

Puja of Compassion
(Chenrezig Puja)
Increase compassion while healing oneself and others. This practice is recited in ENGLISH.

Green Tara Practice

Green Tara is the female manifestation of past, present, and future Buddhas — invoking positive energy for the health, happiness, and prosperity of all beings.

* In Buddhist practice, one can gain merit through the practice of generosity which includes the giving of donations.
